Indiana 4-H invites Indiana Teens to use technology to solve a problem facing our world today.  While opening ceremonies will happen on Friday April 9th at 7:00 pm, we will be releasing use cases at 5:00 Monday April 5th. At that point you can start to brainstorm with your team.  If you need help, we will have workshops and mentors available on Saturday, April 10th.  Projects will be due on Sunday April 11th at 12:00 Noon EST.  Award ceremony will be at 5:00pm on Sunday April 11th.

Eligibility

Indiana 4-H Life Changers Hackathon is available to anyone in the state of Indiana age 13 or older.  4-H membership is not a requirement, but we would be happy to help you join.

Requirements

Design and code a solution to one of the problems listed.  Please submit code (depending on what you write in you may need to provide a link or use Github) as well as a video (less than 5 minutes) that introduces yourself, explains how your program works, the language(s) you wrote it in, (if possible) shows it working, and how it will solve the problem you worked on.

Judging Criteria

  • Program
    You have created a program/app that does or will solve one of the problems outlined by the use case.
  • Video
    You have created a video 5 minutes or less that explains who you are, what problem you wanted to solve, why you designed the solution the way you did, and shows us samples of your program working (not perfect), as well as samples of the code.
